Grantees Clean Up at the National Jewish Book Awards
March 10, 2011
Congratulations to our multiple award-winning grantees who claimed well-deserved prizes last night at the National Jewish Book Awards, starting, of course, with Goldberg Prize winner Sharon Pomerantz for her novel, Rich Boy.
Other winners include:
- Oberlin College’s JSEP mentor Shulamit Magnus, for her translation of Memoirs of a Grandmother
- JCAA winner David Ruderman for Early Modern Jewry: A New Cultural History
- and recipient of the Jewish Book Council Lifetime Achievement Award, JCAA winner Cynthia Ozick
Foundation friends Steven M. Cohen and Ari Y. Kelman were also recognized for their work, Sacred Strategies: Transforming Synagogues from Functional to Visionary.
Congratulations all around!
