“Brave Miss World” Exclusive Screening on Feb 10 in NYC

The FJC-supported documentary Brave Miss World will be shown in an exclusive Sneak Preview at the Athena Film Festival on the Barnard campus in New York City, this coming Sunday, Feb. 10th.

Brave Miss World is the story of Linor Abargil, Israel’s Miss World, who after experiencing a violent abduction and rape, battles for justice and devotes her life to helping other survivors. Her own trauma is triggered when her rapist comes up for parole, and she hunts down two of his previous victims in order to strengthen her case to keep him behind bars.

As her journey progresses, Abargail turns to Orthodox Judaism, to the confusion of her secular family. Follow her courageous journey in this film’s powerful call to action against sexual abuse.
